What’s the history of the Bruno in the Middle chant?
The chant references Bruno’s role in the Newcastle midfield, and is thought to have started in the 2022/23 season around October time.
It’s another iteration of the classic ‘We’re Gonna win the Premier League’ chant.
It was the second Bruno Guimaraes chant, following Bruno’s F*cking Magic, He Wears a Magic Hat.
What other players are referenced in the song?
As well as Guimaraes, the chant also makes reference to Dutch centre back Sven Botman and Swedish striker Alexander Isak – both of whom are also key players for the Toon Army.
