What’s the history of the Eddie Howe’s Black and White Army chant?
The chant was heard as early as Eddie Howe’s first game in charge of the Magpies, at home against Brentford on 20 November 2021.
Funnily enough, the manager wasn’t even in the dugout at the game after testing positive for COVID-19.
It’s a chant built on the classic ‘Black and white army’ series, the most famous of which is ‘Toon Toon Black and White Army’ but has been adapted multiple times down the years.
